Even if you're feeling well, regular health checkups help detect hidden conditions early. Here are some essential tests you should consider:


1. Liver Function Test (LFT)

Checks your liver enzymes, bilirubin, and protein levels to detect liver diseases like hepatitis or fatty liver.

  • Recommended: Once every 1 to 3 years (annually if you take medications, alcohol, or have a fatty diet).


2. Blood Sugar Tests

Includes fasting blood sugar (FBS), post-meal sugar (PPBS), and HbA1c, which shows your average sugar levels over 3 months.

  • Recommended: Annually, especially if you're over 30, overweight, or have a family history of diabetes.


3. Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Measures red and white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets to detect anemia, infections, or immune issues.

  • Recommended: Once a year.


4. Lipid Profile

Checks cholesterol levels (HDL, LDL, triglycerides) to assess your heart disease risk.

5. Kidney Function Test
